Customer Testimonials/Comments/Reviews
We post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information. We do obtain the customer's consent via email prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.
Facebook Connect/LinkedIn
You can log in to our site using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or LinkedIn. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form. - Advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 250 men aged over 25 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women living in London). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.
- Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our Site and Services.
- Credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.
Information we disclose to third parties

Devex has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. In compliance with the Data Privacy Framework, Devex commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. Individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Data Privacy Framework policy should first contact Devex at support@devex.com.
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Devex commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF.
You may have the option under certain conditions to select binding arbitration under Data Privacy Framework for the resolution of your complaint under certain circumstances. For further information, please see the Data Privacy Framework website.
Devex accountability for personal information that it receives under the Data Privacy Framework and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Data Privacy Framework Principles. In particular, Devex remains responsible under Data Privacy Framework Principles if third parties engaged by Devex process the personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Devex proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to any damage.
Protection of your information
The Company maintains all data on secure servers. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We also limit access to the website by our own employees to those individuals who are authorized for the proper handling of such information and any employee found violating our standards of security and confidentiality will be subject to our disciplinary processes.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Site or Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share any password with anyone.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Personal Profiles
We provide you with the option of posting your personal profile including your skills, experience, contact information, employment history, references, and CV on our website. We use our best efforts to ensure that only employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals access these directories, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to their contents. In addition, all visitors to our Site may have access to a limited version of your profile free of charge. This limited version does not contain your full name or contact information. You may remove and/or deactivate your profile from our searchable directories at any time. However, employers and recruiters who have paid for access to the directory, and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the directory, may have retained a copy of your profile in their own files or databases. We are not responsible or liable for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while profiles are in the directory.
User Rights
In accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the EU and UK, and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), you have the right to request access to and rectification of your personal information. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with your request promptly.

- We will describe the purposes for which we share your personal information with third parties. This will provide transparency about how your data is used within our ecosystem.
We are committed to providing you with clear choices and control over your personal information. This aligns with the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) principle on Choice, specifically Part C which emphasizes transparency about onward transfers.

Opt-in and Opt-out for non UK or EU users
Users who would rather not provide any of the user data requested by our registration process do not need to register with us. You can still view certain content and use certain services offered by our Site without registering. We also give users the following options:
- Users will be asked to opt-in to receive Devex newsletters and marketing emails during registration. If the user does not opt-in at registration but would like to opt-in at a later time, they may do so through their profile settings on our Site.
- Users upgrading to certain membership packages may receive Devex newsletters as part of the product offering they have purchased. Users can opt-out from these mailings at any time through the profile settings on our Site. Opting not to provide certain personal information when registering for our Site, provided, however, that you may not be able to use some of our services without providing us with certain information.
Opt-in and Opt-out for UK or EU users
Users who would rather not provide any of the user data requested by our registration process do not need to register with us. You can still view certain content and use certain services offered by our website Site without registering. We also give users the following options:
- Opting not to receive our electronic newsletters or those of third parties when registering. Users who opt in may remove themselves from mailing lists at any time through the subscription-management pages or by following the instructions at the end of the e-mail they received from us and
- Opting not to provide certain personal information when registering for our Site, provided, however, that you may not be able to use some of our services without providing us with certain information.
Updating Personal Profile Information
We allow you to change, correct or remove from public view your personal profile at any time. To do so, simply log into your Devex.com account, go to your account profile, and select the options for editing the information you have submitted.
We will respond to your request to access within 5-10 business days.
Information applicable to users located in the USA
California Consumer Privacy Act
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) which goes into effect January 1, 2020, requires companies to inform California residents if, how, and when their data is being collected and processed. The act also requires California residents to be notified if their personal data is sold to a third party and gives the resident the option to object to the selling of said data. California residents are also permitted to request and obtain a list of third parties with access to their personal data. Requests for personal information cannot exceed more than 2 times within 12 months. All requests must be responded to within 45 days. How is Devex CCPA compliant?
Devex follows all applicable rules of the CCPA. All users have access to a full list of the categories of personal information we collect and process, including the third party platforms used, and for what purpose. Devex makes a concerted effort to partner with third parties that have strong data security practices. Users may also request a copy of their personal information from the past 12 months by emailing info@devex.com with a short description of their request and we will respond as soon as possible, not exceeding 45 days. Devex does not sell users personal information to third parties. We will share certain pieces of personal information with our third party partners for business purposes and only in the ways that are described in the list above.
Devex requires all users to read and agree to our User Agreement and Privacy Statement prior to completing the registration of their Devex account. If the user objects to any or all of the policies, they may opt-out by not completing their registration. For users with an existing account who wish to opt-out of these policies, they can delete their account which will include personal information data stored on Devex and relevant third party applications, excluding certain types of financial information that Devex may retain for auditing purposes.
